During the Fall Split of the CCA Open 2022-23, we saw 36 teams earn points based off of competitive finishes in each of the four Open Tournaments that occurred. With the opportunity for qualification for the CRL Last Chance Qualifier, we are sure that the Spring Split of the CCA Open will bring increased levels of competition to all teams who have not qualified for CRL Spring League Play! At the end of the CCA Open 2022-23, the top 8 teams from each conference will receive a spot in the CRL Last Chance Qualifier.
During previous CRL Seasons, teams who qualified for either CRL Fall League Play or CRL Spring League Play earned an auto-qualification spot into the CRL Last Chance Qualifier. That is not the case this season. Only teams who qualify for CRL Spring League Play will earn an auto-qualification spot into the CRL Last Chance Qualifier. If teams from CRL Fall do not requalify, they have to play through the CCA Open to earn a spot in the CRL Last Chance Qualifier.
In light of this, teams who qualified for CRL Fall League Play but do not requalify for CRL Spring League Play will receive CCA Open Points. This will enable those teams who missed out on Spring to be competitive for a CRL Last Chance Qualifier spot through the CCA Open!
These teams will earn points based off of their CRL Fall Split placements and performances. Check out the table below for points breakdowns and examples!
