With Northwood being crowned the 2022 CRL World Champion, it is time to set our eyes forward on the best season of the year, Summer! Summer Series is back for its 6th running with CCA and we have all the information to break down this season. And with Worlds bringing in representatives from both North America and Europe, we wanted to be able to represent NA in its entirety via CCA. That is why we are happy to introduce Mexico to Summer Series! Full details on the event and conferences can be found below.

Format

Starting off, let’s take a look at the format:

• League Play will comprise of 2 conferences and 2 divisions
  • 24 teams for East League Play
    • 12 East League Play Division 1 teams
    • 12 East League Play Division 2 teams
  • 24 teams for West League Play
    • 12 West League Play Division 1 teams
    • 12 West League Play Division 2 teams

Qualifiers themselves are broken into two stages, Open Qualifiers, and Play-ins

• Open Qualifiers
  • Open to all college teams
  • Double Elimination Bracket, Best of 3 until qualifier matches (best of 5)
  • East Conference
    • 32 teams qualify for the East Conference Play-In (16 from each qualifier, 2 qualifiers total)
  • West Conference
    • 32 teams qualify for the West Conference Play-In (16 from each qualifier, 2 qualifiers total)

• • Play-Ins: 
    • 64 teams from Open Qualifier (32 from East, 32 from West)
    • Double Elimination Bracket, Best of 5 matches

      • East Conference Play-In
        • Top 12 teams qualify for East League Play Division 1
        • Next 12 teams qualify for East League Play Division 2
    • West Conference
      • West Conference Play-In
        • Top 12 teams qualify for West League Play Division 1

• • If you don’t qualify for league play, never fear! We will also be hosting four open events to give opportunities to represent your school throughout the summer competing against non-league play teams. Dates for those and everything else are below.
